Donate your gently worn, used and new shoes to Faso Life.
Faso Life is a nonprofit with a mission to improve the quality of life in Burkina Faso, West Africa. The organization’s vice president, Micheline Ouedraogo, is from Burkina Faso and is currently a student at La Roche University. Together, with a board and several North Allegheny families, Faso Life is raising funds to add an addition to a one-room classroom in a small village. This village is underdeveloped, it has no electricity, no health care, and it had no running water or a school until Faso Life got involved.
The school is the vision of Ouedraogo’s twin sisters to bring education to an outlying village in Burkina Faso. The response from the villagers (Tamssin) has been tremendous and more classrooms are needed.
We can raise $1,000 if we gather 2,500 pairs of shoes and we are very short of the needed number.
Shoes can be dropped off at Breakout Advisors & Rehabilitation, 10 N. Meadows Drive, Wexford; or Northland Library, 300 Cumberland Road, McCandless.
