North Hills primary voting locations announced

Registered voters living in the North Hills who have not returned a mail-in ballot for the June 2 primary will be limited to one polling location for the municipality in which they live, according to Allegheny County election officials.

Polling places were consolidated for the primary to “further the goal of physical distancing” to help reduce the spread of coronavirus, according to a news release announcing the changes.

With the exception of the City of Pittsburgh, all municipalities in the county will be limited to one site for residents to cast ballots in person.

While only one location is listed for each municipality, there may be multiple polling places at the site, election officials said.

The locations were picked to ensure that parking and access for people with physical challenges is available.

Officials said households with eligible voters will receive a postcard prior to election day advising them of their specific polling place location.

Updated information for the spring primary will be posted on the county election division’s website.

The deadline to request a mail-in ballot was May 26. People who already received a ballot must return them by June 2.
