Monday, May 11, 2020 | 1:21 PM
The 6:45 p.m. meeting on May 18 will feature Janine Adams, who will present a program titled “The Imperfect Genealogist.”
Adams is a certified professional organizer in St. Louis, Missouri, and a self-described genealogy enthusiast who founded the blog “Organize Your Family History” and the podcast “Getting to Good Enough.”
“Perfectionism can get in the way of enjoying your genealogy research and your life,” said Adams.” As important as solid research is, getting hung up in doing everything ‘the right way’ might mean you don’t get much done.”
Adams will discuss the areas of genealogy where “good enough really is good enough” and outline strategies and techniques for letting go of perfectionism to enjoy genealogy research.
The program will be conducted using the Zoom meeting app. A Zoom account is not required, but participants must sign up online to participate.
