Social-distancing guidelines will prevent Cranberry Township residents from gathering this Memorial Day to honor members of the military who lost their lives while serving.
But a service has been video recorded for broadcast at 1 p.m. on Sunday, May 24.
To ensure that the annual traditional continues, members of Cranberry VFW Post 879 in conjunction with the township’s parks and recreation and communications departments created the video featuring main elements of the annual event.
The service includes the National Anthem, guest speakers, the release of doves, a 21-gun salute and the ringing of bells in honor of those who gave the ultimate sacrifice.
